Paleo Linguini in White Clam Sauce
Posted in : CookingCaveman.tumblr.com, Dinner, Paleo, Pasta, Seafood on by : wendland99Very good, and it could’ve been better if I used better ingredients, but I didn’t want to spend too much on a first time experiment. No real linguini of course, I used daikon radish, my go-to pasta replacement for quite a while now. I spiral cut them, and then dropped them in boiling water for a few minutes until tender.
For the clam sauce I didn’t use the traditional white wine as an ingredient, but if you drink and/or cook with wine (I don’t unless it’s a cheat day), go ahead and add it. I also don’t cook with salt, but the lack of it in this dish made me realize how salty this dish is usually prepared in a restaurant (or out of a can of Progresso).
Paleo White Clam Sauce:
- wild caught clams
- olive oil
- garlic
- parsley
- clam broth
- lemon juice
- black pepper
- red pepper flakes
